Advanced: Risk Board

The Risk Board turns logged effort and Jira issue signals into early warnings — so leads see where work energy is drifting before a sprint or delivery date fails. It is not a separate reporting product; it reads the same WorkPulse time and assignments your team already uses.

WorkPulse Risk Board

What the board surfaces

Risk cases are built from real WorkPulse and Jira data. Issue-level and project-level signals include:

  • Past due — open assigned work whose due date has already passed.
  • Time overrun — logged hours at least 25% over the original estimate.
  • Time underrun — finished work logged at 50% or less of estimate (often a planning or scope signal).
  • Late by due date — done issues resolved after their due date.
  • Capacity overload — open estimates in the period exceed weekly capacity (about 1.2× required hours).
  • Maintenance ratio — high share of delivery hours on debt / incidents.
  • Concentration — one person carrying too much of a project’s hours.
  • Billable leakage — low billable mix on delivery projects (configurable training projects excluded).
  • Estimate variance — systematic gap between estimates and actuals across the project.
  • Due-week capacity — too much due work packed into the current period vs remaining hours.

For contributors

When a risk needs your input, open the case and use Resolve risk to explain what happened and how you will recover. That context stays attached to the case so leads are not guessing from a red score alone.

For leads

  • Open Risk Board from the left rail (Team lead access).
  • Scan project and issue risk scores, trends, and contributing factors.
  • Review pending contributor resolutions from Risk Board or shortcuts on Team Pulse.
  • Use Review on pending cases to accept context or ask for more.
  • Tune signal weights when your site emphasizes certain risk types (maintenance, concentration, billable leakage, and so on).

How it fits the Advanced story

Team Pulse shows who is logging and approving time. Risk Board shows where that effort is stressing delivery. Together they give leads a live read on team energy and early delivery risk — without exporting to another tool.
