Overview

This will walk you through the installation and set up of the application for use in your Confluence and Jira instances.

Prerequisites

Install (admin, one time). A Confluence Cloud site admin installs Conversation hub for Confluence and Jira from the Atlassian Marketplace, and accepts the permissions prompt. That single click installs and authorizes the app on both Confluence and Jira on this site — no application link, OAuth, or token setup is needed.

Quick start

  1. Open Apps → Conversation hub — All conversations in the left sidebar (the global directory; empty until step 3).

  2. Edit any Confluence page → / insert → Conversation hub — Converse Home, publish — that page is now a hub.

  3. Or use a page's ⋯ menu → Conversation hub — New conversation for one-off conversations without a hub.

  4. Optional macros while editing: Single conversation, Recent in space, Space stats.

  5. Space admin enables Jira under the toolbar Settings on a hub page.

  6. Signals leverage connection to Jira for ticket creation. Use the signal dashboard to highlight them

  • A trailing note about how upgrades work (admin Update in Manage apps preserves hubs and conversations).
