Install the plugin

Upload to Confluence

  1. Log in as a Confluence administrator.
  2. Go to Administration → Manage apps.
  3. Click Upload app (or Upload plugin).
  4. Select the JAR file and confirm upload.
  5. Wait for installation to complete. Restart Confluence if prompted.

Verify installation

  1. In Manage apps, find Classifier for Confluence (or Classify for Confluence).
  2. Confirm the plugin status is Enabled.
  3. Open Configure (or navigate to the admin servlet linked from the app listing).

You should see the React-based admin console with Data Classification, Restriction Approach, and related sections.

Enable for users

No separate “enable per space” step is required for basic use. Once the plugin is enabled globally:

  • Authors see classification tools on pages.
  • Space admins can open Space tools → Classifier for space-specific settings.
